Do the Bib Officers a favour - include ALL the necessary stuff and PUT ENOUGH POSTAGE ON Please make sure there's enough postage on your application. If you use a small envelope and have to fold the return envelope several times it will be too thick for an ordinary letter (over 5mm). If you send a bubble or padded envelope for your bib it WILL be too thick, etc, etc. If it is, put a "large letter" stamp on it! If the Bib Officer has to pay a rip-off Post Office surcharge you won't get your bib until you pay the money back. Do yourself a favour and avoid Royal Mail's outrageous surcharges on underpaid post! The bib officers will do their best to fold your bib within the "large letter" rules, but give them a chance! Either bite the bullet and put enough postage on your return envelope for a "small packet" - £1.38 1st class or £1.20 2nd Class, or else: DO remember to put on at least the right postage for a "large letter" (70p 1st class, 60p 2nd class) DON'T use a bubble envelope. They are expensive and the extra thickness will make the envelope too thick for even the "large letter" rate. DON'T use anything smaller than A4. The extra fold in the bib will make the envelope too thick, etc, as above. DON'T use one of those super-A4 oversize envelopes. They are too big for a "large letter". |
