CAN ANYBODY HELP ME
MODIFY MY 4M KAYAK - by cutting 300mm off the back end to make it
into a fishtail. This may not alter performance but will avoid hitting the tail
end on the bank. My kayak is a black XXX full carbon made for me as a 105kg
paddler. I can't find a 3.5m boat to suit my weight. I intend to race Div 1 soon

want to get involved with C1 slalom. I weigh 74kg and am 5'6" and am
looking for something to get started in, probably a design that is a
generation or two out of date, with a few dings but which still paddles
well. Ideally somewhere near London, but may be able to pick up further
away if I need to. Aiming for an old Carbon Kevlar boat, but open to
alternatives...

I was going to race it last season but never had time. The Pulsar was designed with the larger paddler in mind. Capable of carrying weights from £75 up to 95kg, it is surprisingly agile and manoeuvrable. Performance was critical when designing this boat, so it has good straight line speed, but also turns very fast and smoothly. Changes in direction are achieved simply by applying a sweep stroke. The shaping of the front of the boat helps the boat to feel free in the turn and lift over waves with ease. The all round performance of this kayak makes it one of the best in the world for its paddler range.
