Welcome to our LV Div 1 race. The course will be set as a challenging division 1 level, not prem, and paddle-ups who are confident on this standard of white water are very welcome to enter. Please email Ros at lvpcslalomevents@gmail.com if you or your supporters can offer any help with judging, bank safety, control and refreshments - the more volunteers we have, the less everyone has to do! Happy to ply you with coffee and biscuits as a "Thank you!" - bring your own mug.
Open Entries (For prem standard paddlers): Condition of entry includes completing up to 60 minutes of official duties per entry per day. For this reason, open paddlers may only enter one boat class per day. You can, of course, enter a different boat class on Saturday to Sunday, should you wish. Anyone qualified for bank safety with white water rescue, stadium safety or regular practical white water rescue experience in your club, please contact Ros in advance to ensure we can allocate you to the safety team. Entries are capped for this event.
Paddling volunteers: During the hour lunchbreak, non-racing supporters who are div 1 or above standard, or have completed their LVWWC Olympic assessment can book a 40 minute paddle on the Olympic course with the gates in situ for £12.
Training Sessions: Training sessions can be booked for Friday evening either 5:30-6:30, or 6:30-7:30pm. Cost £18. Please only book one slot. In fairness to those who are unable to attend, the actual course will not go up until after the practice sessions. To keep costs down, we need to supply bank safety for these sessions. If your supporter can help, please let us know.
