Welcome to Fairnilee div 2/3 race and delighted to host the junior pan Celtic Event on Saturday. J12,J14&Vets

Hoping to have the course set by early afternoon on Friday. There will be lots of free practice available at your own risk during daylight hours.

There is camping in the field at the river get on. No need to book as there is lots of space. No electric hook up. Entry to the field is at your own risk.A cafe will be operating during race hours on Saturday and Sunday.

Planning on having a social barbecue on Saturday night. Bring food to cook on the barbecue, drinks and a chair. Further info to follow.

Onsite camping and campervans - let organiser know please £ per family per night. Team event and hand paddle race Sat, "Race your rubber duck round the gates" Sunday. Kayak cross course will be up all day Sat for practice.

Saturday will be free practice with coaches available.  (Booking in is not required but will help the organiser to know how many are coming!)

Sunday will be the slalom with a team event and sprint WWR this entering the slalom on either day get a £3 discount and only pay £4. 

Monday will be a slalom. During the break on Monday, there will be the Pan Galactic End Cockpit C2 championships, one run only boats to borrow.

Sunday: Div 3/4 and Scottish Schools C1 & C2.

If you are racing in Division 3 or Division 4, your entry will be automatically included in the Scottish Schools race at no extra cost. Please enter your school in the field when prompted. 

If you are in Division 2 or above, and wish to compete for your school, please enter the Schools Event. Please enter your school in the field when prompted.

C2 entries are very much encouraged! For the Scottish Schools competition on Sunday, you can have just two C2 runs: either two runs with the same partner or one with a Club partner and one with a School partner. Please enter one or two C2 boats in the usual way.

There will be team runs after individual runs on Saturday. Coaches will put the teams together.

Entries can be added on the day up to 10am.

A £1 site fee per paddler per day has been added to the entry fee for the maintenance and repair of the Alva facilities; this will be charged as a "launch fee" at checkout. 

There is space for camping/motorhomes in the field on Friday and Saturday at a charge of £5 per tent/van per night – no need to book. There are also a few EHU places, charged at an additional £5 per night – booking advisable – please just send us an email at crcats.events@gmail.com.

This Div 4 is on the lake.  A separate Div 4 will be run on the main river for those wanting to try moving water.

Saturday from 9am - Slalom Coaching and Practice session on Sundays Div 3/4 course

1pm - Lunch

2pm - Paddles Up competition. Relive the glory days of the 80's with a fun course of limbo gates, tailee target ball, hoop gates, roll gates and more. Head to head racing!

4pm - A ranking WWR Race, as many runs as you can handle. (£7 if only entering WWR race)

6.30pm - Dragon Boat Race - in open canoes, 4 people to a boat. More exciting head to head racing! 

Sunday - Full Ranking Div 3/4 event. Includes SUP race. Usual fees apply. 8am - 2hrs Free Practice. 10am - 1 hr Official Practice. 11am - 1st runs. Lunch. 2pm - 2nd runs

CAMPING

Unfortunately, there is nowhere suitable to pitch a tent by the club. Camper Vans / Vans are fine to stay on the car park overnight at own risk. If you park before 6pm on Friday, you can get a free 2 hours parking ticket. From Friday 6pm until Monday morning there is no parking charge.

 The location of the race is at the top of the venue above the Graveyard.

Scottish Junior Champs is on Saturday

Two day training camp followed by Division 2/3 on the river

Subject to water levels, a div 4 will also be run on the river as a shortened/easier course.  (There will be a separate Div 4 on the lake for those who would like to remain on flat water)

Catering will be available both days serving a range of delicious hot breakfasts and lunches as well as sweet treats and hot drinks all day. Bring your own mug for 20p off hot drinks!

There will be a WWR event after the slalom on Saturday with boats available to borrow.

Camping and refreshments available all weekend. Training, Teams entry and White Water Race entry will run on Saturday and all be covered by the single £10 charge per paddler, entry to WWR only £5

Sunday: Fun C2 event with an emphasis on family entries. Prizes for first C2 crews made up of an adult and either a Junior in the front. You can enter as prem/3 or div 4. Entries will be taken on the day, please enter before 10:00am on the Sunday.

The additional £2.50 on the standard entry fee covers the boat launch which is required by the private landowner. Parking is payable on the day at the Canoe Centre by card and is £8.00 per day.  Please do not park elsewhere as the event depends on everyone following the parking requirements.
