Paddleups will go on a waiting list and will be made available according to the agreed guidelines in the yearbook.

These practice slots are intended for those athletes who are entering the Prem, ICF and British Open races in the following weekend.

45min sessions are charged at £15

Location & Parking The address & post code for SatNav is -  Lock Island, Ferry Lane, Shepperton, Middx, TW17 9LW  Parking next to the club is tight but there is space before coffee shop on Ferry Lane. Access to this will be clearly signed.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THE COFFEE SHOP CAR PARK FOR ACCESS OR PARKING AS THIS WILL RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE LOSS OF THIS PARKING CONCESSION. 

We will have parking marshals to facilitate kit & boat drop off & directing.   

Camper Vans    If you park by the lock, please don't hang clothes, pitch tents, light BBQs etc by the lock. You're welcome to do this on the island by the club. 

Course Availability  The course will be erected on Friday and available mid to late afternoon for ‘free’ practice and on Saturday morning before official practice. Safety is provided during official practice & during the event. Please paddle in groups and support each other outside this times.

The course for Sunday will be set after the Saturday event finishes & will be available to paddle.    

Catering  The kitchen will be open, serving drinks, hot food, cakes etc.     Any profit goes back into the club.

CAMPING

Unfortunately, there is nowhere suitable to pitch a tent by the club. Camper Vans / Vans are fine to stay on the car park overnight at own risk. If you park before 6pm on Friday, you can get a free 2 hours parking ticket. From Friday 6pm until Monday morning there is no parking charge.

The additional £2.50 on the standard entry fee covers the boat launch which is required by the private landowner. Parking is payable on the day at the Canoe Centre by card and is £8.00 per day.  Please do not park elsewhere as the event depends on everyone following the parking requirements.

Due to the cost of hiring the venue there will be enhanced fees.

Prem/Div 1 Saturday 

Kayak Cross Sunday - Everyone will have a time trial run. Dependent on numbers top 32 will go through to head to heads (as a normal format). However, if you are outside of the top 32, there will still be head to head racing for you. 

In addition to racing our intention is:

• Course will be set Saturday, after the slalom race, with the ability to practice the course in the evening
• Dependent upon numbers, there will be availability to practice the course before time trials
• There will be gates above the ramp set, for people to warm up on
• Gates will also be set below the finish line with the intention of technical KX clinics being provided by coaches, at various times during the day, at no additional cost. More information will be provided on how to sign up for these clinics nearer the event.
• After the finals, the course will remain set for the afternoon, for people to participate in informal head to heads - maybe practicing a new skill you've learnt in the clinics, head to heads with your friends and maybe even the odd rematch!
