2025 Slalom ACM Information

The 2025 Annual Consultative meeting will be on Saturday 29th November 2025 at 10am, to be held at Paddle UK HQ, Nottingham.

The papers for the meeting are all available online in a shared google folder (incluing online registration, proxy forms, reports, previous minutes etc). Click here for the Folder.

The reports are not complete as yet, but will be added to the folder as they become available, so please check back.

Meeting Information

Attendees: please register you are coming so we have numbers for ordering food and details of any dietary requirements – attendee form: https://forms.gle/Q3DYVmiTEMxUi7GR8. Tea & Coffee will also be available, however there are only a limited number of mugs in the Paddle UK cupboard, so please bring your own.

Club Registration:  Please be aware that club votes will only be issued to the registered club representative.  Clubs must update their club registration and nominated Slalom Representative by completing the registration form: https://forms.gle/Bbkn8En8jA27ror78

Proxy Voting:  If a club wishes anyone else to exercise their vote, whether a club member or not, a proxy form MUST be completed.  This can give the proxy holder full discretion to vote as they see fit but authorises the committee to give the papers to a different individual.

• After this time a Proxy Form may be brought to the meeting and must be received by the Slalom Secretary by 9:30am on 29th November 2025.

Online meeting access: following the success of April’s consultation, we are trialling online access to the meeting through Google Meets: https://meet.google.com/ckr-dtve-pzd.  Managing ACM discussions is difficult at in person meetings, and we feel impossible to do through a hybrid meeting. Therefore, this access will be to allow people to follow the discussions only.

• All voting representatives must attend in person (or complete a proxy).
• There will be no opportunity for those online to contribute to the discussions – you should put comments and questions through your Club rep at the meeting.

Finally . . . A reminder that all events on the 2026 Calendar mustto have submitted their Safety Plan before the ACM.

Ed Ecclestone Award

Ed Ecclestone was a quiet man, working in the background to smooth the wheels and ensure that paddlers could concentrate on paddling. If there was a problem all you had to do is ask and he would sort it out, whether it was getting a replacement trailer, sorting a hotel or getting food for lunch. In his memory, this trophy was created to recognise those supporting our sport from out of the limelight, truly ‘hiding their light under a bushel’. Anyone can be nominated and can nominate someone. The award itself is decided by the previous nominees and the winner announced at the ACM.

If you would like to nominate someone for this year’s award, please send your nomination including a few paragraphs to the Slalom Secretary. The deadline for nominations for 2025 is 21st November 2025.
