Frome Market Yard
This is a flat water Division 4, 12 gate short course, and is an ideal introduction to slalom.
Racing is held on the River Frome right next to the clubhouse with changing rooms and showers. Light refreshments (drinks and cakes) are available during the day in the clubhouse.
There is a large pay and display car park directly next to the venue.
The clubhouse is a short walk to town centre shops.

Please note that when the Rodden Gauge reads over one metre the river is in spate and will become fast, and the gates become unusable. The local rule is not to paddle downstream of the landing stage due to a potentially dangerous weir at this level.

Directions: The clubhouse is in the centre of Frome next to the Cheese & Grain.
From Market Place / North Parade turn in to Bridge Street and into the large car park. Drive to the far end and to the right. Note the post code will take you to the Library on the other side of the car park.
JS Grading: A
A: Pool or otherwise completely flat water, without enough current to affect the boat.
Even courses that are usually easy can become dangerous in exceptional high water conditions. If in doubt, seek advice or stay off the water.
